Experience Misthaven Resort

We've got what you need here! Our rates below outline the costs associated with visiting Misthaven, and how experience what we offer.

Those costs are generally broken down in to three main categories: camping, disc golf and day passes.

If you are coming just to pay disc golf, you are paying the disc golf rate. Play all day for that admission rate. But, play ONLY the course. This means don't hit the pool afterwards or attend any of the other scheduled events going on the day of your visit.

If you just want to come for the day, or to camp, you'll need a membership. An annual membership is required of everyone wishing to visit Misthaven Resort for anything other than just disc golf.

Once you've paid for an annual membership, then your next two choices are to come for the day, then leave, or come and camp (either by bringing your own tent or RV, or renting one of our units). The daily pass means just that: you come for the day, then leave by 10pm. Once 10pm rolls around, there should be no one else left at the facility wearing a day pass wristband. Anyone else on the campground after 10pm should have paid for overnight accommodations.

Pretty simple, right?

Things to keep in mind

We are a smaller, older campground, but can accommodate almost any size RV. We only have about a dozen sites that can accommodate rigs larger than 40 feet in length.

Most of our sites are 30 amp, and most are water and electric only. We have twelve sites that are full hookup, including water, electric and sewer.

These options accommodate about 99% of the camping equipment out there. If your rig is rated for 50 amps, you can still run it on a 30 amp site with an adaptor.  Most of our sites have an abundance of shade, so most visitors can make it on one AC, or even none at all.

We invite you to come and relax in a quiet, tranquil, serene campsite with TONS of greenery and shade. We guarantee that our little oasis of a campground is just what the doctor ordered, and that you will be quite pleased with what we offer here at Misthaven Resort.

When selecting a site, make sure it has your RV type listed.  If you are in a travel trailer and select a site that can only accommodate motorhomes, vans, or other self driven RV styles, we will move you to a more appropriate site for your trailer.

Also, please keep in mind that our water is generally turned off to the campground between November 1 - April 15, to prevent underground pipes from freezing. Although you won't have water at your site during these dates, our restrooms and showers are open all year 'round.

Read this before making reservations!

It is extremely important that you know how big your rig is BEFORE making reservations. Size matters, guys and gals! DO NOT ESTIMATE OR GUESS.

If you guess or estimate, what will invariably happen is that you will estimate too small. You may end up estimating that your 35 foot trailer is really a 30 foot trailer. Then you will arrive and only then will you discover that you will not fit on the site or that for some other reason you cannot use our facility.

You will be sitting there with a trailer that is too big for the site, and we may not have another site for you to fit on.

Then you may be forced to find another campground nearby that can accommodate your rig.

If the guest/customer enters the incorrect length of their vehicle which directly affects the site the guest chooses (vehicle/equipment is too long, wide, etc), it is up to the park owner/manager's discretion to move the guest/customer regardless of payment of the lock site fee, if any. Also, we may not be able to issue a refund if you cannot use the site due to a customer having incorrectly entered dimensions at the time of reservation.

Also, know that we run a VERY quiet campground. If you and your group like to party until 3 am each night, or if you have a pack of dogs that likes to bark all night, know upfront that we are keen on quiet. We will not be able to accommodate visitors that are noisy, party animals, or are in any other way disruptive and infringe on other campers' desire for peace and quiet.

We close up the office at 6 pm. It is your responsibility to plan your arrival before 5:30 pm, and to call if you expect to be late. We get so many people who show up after dark expecting there to be someone in the office to take a credit card or lead the visitor to a campsite. If you have a reservation booked and don't show up before 6 pm or call, we will assume you aren't going to show up at all.

The way the campground is laid out, it is extremely confusing to find many of our sites after dark due to 1960's design limitations. Again, we are an older, smaller campground that had little thought given to planning or layout from the onset, adding another layer of difficulty in getting to your site, which can be a tricky feat even in daylight.

Check out is at 11am. Check-in begins at noon.

Absolutely NO check-ins after 7pm. We know your travel plans are often interrupted by situations beyond your control, but we have to draw the line somewhere. We know it's not a perfect solution, but if we didn't set an office closing time, then we'd be up at 2 and 3am backing trailers in because people arrived late.

Again, we are an older campground, and our layout is not like the perfectly-laid out grid pattern of modern campgrounds. Arriving after 6 pm or well after dark means you most likely won't be able to find your site because of the complexity of navigating the park. If you know with certainty that you will not arrive by 6 pm, the only real option would be to park your rig out in front of the office and wait for us to open up shop the next day. While not a perfect option, it will all but eliminate you getting stuck in a spot or a ditch that you couldn't see, or hitting a tree you didn't know was there.

what you need to know before calling or making reservations

Know the length of your RV

Extremely important, so we can place you on a pad where you will fit.

Know your dates

Have all this information ready before you call. When will you be arriving? What date? When will you be departing?

How many people?

Bring up to three guests with you (if camping), or as many as you like on day passes, but know that they ALL need to be checked-in, they ALL need to pay their membership and day pass fees. Also know that you, the reservation maker, are the man-in-charge for keeping all his ducks in a row. We limit camp sites to four guests, one tent or RV, and one vehicle or golf cart.

How many cars are coming?

We are a small park. We allow ONE vehicle (or golf cart) per camp site, so if you have multiple vehicles, know whose car is going to be at the site.

Are you bringing an EV?

Know and understand that you CANNOT charge your EV at your site.

KNOW OUR RULES!!!!!!

Extremely important! Know-before-you-go is the best motto.  Our entire website is designed so that you know what to expect  before you get here. We don't want you to be surprised about something you didn't know upon arrival that was explained on our website. We're very strict about our rules....  we have to be, to minimize the complaints, and to maximize everyone else's enjoyment.

Are you bringing any pets?

Another really important issue. Half of our complaints are about barking dogs, and, you guessed it, dog poop. Also, no pets are allowed in our rentable cabins and RV's.

Know your RV and other equipment

Check the oil and antifreeze before you leave. On-the-road repairs are VERY expensive and can leave you stranded.

Know your medical stats and vitals

Don't forget your meds and toiletries. One of the first things you should do as soon as you get to any destination is find out where the nearest hospital is, the nearest pharmacy, urgent care and veterinary hospital. Don't forget your medical insurance card. Speaking of insurance, it might also be a good idea to check your vehicle insurance as well. Few people can talk their way out of a driving without proof of insurance when a cop is frowning at you along the side of a highway. And if you get pulled over, keeping your hands on the steering wheel at all times and saying "Yes sir" and "No sir" go a LONG way. Just some friendly advice.

Know our address and your route to get here

We're at 4252 W 200 N Peru, Indiana 46970. Plan out an alternate route, 'cause, you know, sh!t happens.

Leave your attitude at home

Extremely important! Bring yourself, but leave the 'tude. If we say you cannot do something, heed our advice. We are telling you you can't do something for a good reason. Nothing bans people quicker than bad attitudes and problem campers. This is not the place for it. Leave it at home.

Check your credit cards

Know your credit card limits or checking account balances BEFORE you hop in the car. Don't get here with $37 left in your checking account then get upset with us because there's no money to pay for your reservation. Everyone pays for their stay BEFORE arrival or as soon as you walk in the front door. Plan ahead and bring enough to pay for things like day passes, dinners, soft drinks and pizzas, and firewood and disc golf discs. Then bring another $200 or $300 for an emergency car repair or flat tire.

Two tents or not two tents, that is the question

We know other campgrounds allow you to throw multiple tents or campers per site. We do not. We limit each site to ONE tent or camper (each tent or camper is a single camping "unit"). We also limit each site to ONE vehicle or golf cart. We fequently have to stop amd remind people that we are a one-unit-per-campsite and a one-vehicle-per-campsite-campground.

Adults only!

As a reminder before you click on the link below, we are an 18+ campground.  Only make a reservation if everyone in your group is over 18 years of age.
