New for 2026!

New for 2026 is a page called Misthaven Music!

We have been writing and creating music since 1988. I know, that seems like a hundred years ago for some of you folks, and at times, it sure seems like that to me. Back in the day, people only had access to synthesizers, tape decks and primitive sequencers and mixers. Digital music-making was out of the reach of the ordinary home recording artist.

Nowadays, digital music creation is everywhere, and now, it's even here at Misthaven!

We wanted a page whereby we could upload some music created here at Misthaven. Some of it was produced for our own use; others were produced for other folks and presented here.

In any case, they are here for download, and will also be available on the download sites, about two weeks after we post them here.

We will adopt the habit of allowing our Misthaven friends and family the opportunity to hear them here, first, before we submit them to the download platforms.

My goal is to upload one here each month (I have dozens and dozens ready to upload). We would also like to record some music videos for some of these songs, and we will announce those when the time comes.

Some songs may include or cover material or topics that some listeners may find objectionable. Please download at your own discretion. As stated previously, some of this music was written by others, and created for others. We will be posting all music created here at Misthaven Resort here, on our page, for download and enjoyment by all who wish to listen. All of this music is downloadable for a fee. Each selection will have a snippet of the song itself to give you a feel for how it sounds, The snippet will be a very low quality MP3. The actual song you will be downloading will be MUCH MUCH sharper and clearer, with CD-quality sound.

We may, from time to time, revisit some of our Misthaven recordings and create re-edits of them. This means we may make a dance edit or some other form of remix to the same song, or spice it up and create a different version of the same song entirely.

We will also collect a number of songs and offer it as an album.

All the proceeds from these sales go towards other Misthaven Resort expenses, and will be used for things such as advertising, taxes, upgrades, or other general operating costs. Some of the proceeds may be used to create or record music videos for some of these songs. Songs that Misthaven Resort has produced for other people and sold here, those funds will be forwarded to those individuals who own the rights to those songs. (Not every song that will be uploaded to this page will be Misthaven Resort songs).

For the time being, we will email you an actual MP3 file after you place an order. When the songs become available on the streaming platforms, we will put a link directing you to go there to purchase.

Misthaven is launching a new side hustle! I know, we have a lot going on here, with the campground, our Amazon sales, and now, producing music.

Our process

We don't have a huge $500,000 digital studio. We use the power of AI to create music. Everything you hear and download from this page is AI-generated. It's a complex process, but one which can generate studio-quality results you can hear for yourself.

Our Rates

Pushing a song through a traditional studio can cost $3,000 - $4000 PER SONG and take weeks. We can usually produce results within days.... usually within a week's time. And we can do one song for $250, or three for $600, plus tax.

Can't write lyrics?

Don't worry. We can help with that. We don't like using AI for lyric creation because the results are often cheesy, confusing and don't flow too well. Usually we can generate lyrics from lyrics you provide, or just from an idea you have.

Can't play any instruments?

You don't need to. That's what AI does for you. We program AI to create based upon your input. Looking for a simple ballad-type song with just mellow piano accompaniment? Or a full ensemble of orchestration and instruments? We can create what you're looking for.

Can't sing?

Neither can I. AI handles that. AI handles the singing, arrangement, production.... all of it. It just takes a considerable amount of time to get AI to produce the exact sound and song you're seeking. It often takes AI dozens and dozens of attempts to get it just right, each time tweaking this and adjusting that to get closer and closer to the desired result.

Want to sing your own song?

Many people simply want a song written for them, with lyrics sung, to teach them how to sing their own songs. Then, they simply delete the AI-sung lyrics and record their own, with their own voice, sung the same way that AI sang them. The works sung by AI are called "reference tracks". You'd mimic those tracks with your own sung tracks and overlay your voice over the musical arrangement.

Don't have the time or money?

This is far cheaper and far less time-consuming that driving to a studio every day for eight hours, laying down tracks one by one. It can often take two - three weeks just to finish ONE SONG in a studio. I am by no means knocking studios; I have used them myself for years. I am simply offering an alternative. Professional studios are worth their time and expertise. The solution AI offers is for those on a limited time or money budget.

Don't know anything about song recording?

Nowadays, with AI, you really don't need any knowledge whatsoever. You really just need an idea for a song, or some simple lyrics, and we can wrap a song around what you give us.
